England & Wales bank holidays are shown in green. These include New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Early May Bank Holiday, Spring Bank Holiday, Summer Bank Holiday, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day. To count the days between any two dates, try the day counter.
US Federal Holidays
US federal holidays are shown in purple. These include New Year's Day, MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Easter Calculation
Easter Sunday is computed using the Anonymous Gregorian algorithm, which gives the ecclesiastical approximation of the first full moon after the spring equinox. Good Friday and Easter Monday follow from this date.
Week Start
This calendar uses Sunday as the first day of the week, following the convention used in the US and many other countries. Week numbers follow ISO 8601 where the first week contains the first Thursday of the year. For a detailed explanation of ISO week numbers, try the week number calculator.
Worked example
Navigate to April 2026: Easter Sunday (5 April) is highlighted, with Good Friday (3 April) and Easter Monday (6 April) shown as UK bank holidays in green. The Early May Bank Holiday falls on 4 May 2026. Navigate to December 2025 to see that ISO Week 1 of 2026 starts on Monday 29 December 2025 — those last few December days already carry the 2026 week number.
